Wonderful article. I vividly remember both your excitement and pride while telling me about your Grandmother as we walked along the avenue toward the building she lived in. I think she'd be very proud of you!

Lovely piece, Jim. Maggie Smith had some irreducible charisma to her. One could never get enough of her…. In Dounton, she illuminated the small screen, made it huge!
