Going into The Acolyte season finale, we were faced with a lot of big questions.
What is the deal with the vergence on Brendok?
What is it about the relationship between Osha and Mae that Sol is all worked up about?
Why did Osha leave the Jedi?
What is Osha going to do when she finds out what Sol did?
Are there any good Jedi? Like, even one?
And maybe most importantly, who exactly is the Acolyte? And for that matter, who is the bad guy? Is it Darth Mendoza—who even in the finale is still not given an actual name? Is it Sol?
The finale definitely answered some of those questions, and also raised a couple new ones. And probably most importantly, it brought us full circle on the series premiere’s premise of another set of Force sensitive twins separated as children, and offered a really provocative critique.
