Some months ago I was starting to reread Genesis, which is my favorite book of the Bible. And I was realizing that there was a lot there that I had never noticed before.

And a lot of it seemed to contradict a lot of things I had been taught, particularly around questions of gender, sexuality and, well, diet. (We’ll get there.)

I thought I’d write a little something up about all that, as a sort of spiritual reflection, something people could chew on for themselves.
