Little Spiritual Exercises: Day Three
Sit in a quiet, comfortable place with your phone off. Close your eyes. Breathe slowly and in out. Savor each breath.
Slowly open your eyes. Take in what is before you: the sway of branches; the scatter of sunlight in your room; the way the shadows fall. Stay with whatever draws you, whether a tiny detail or panorama. Savor the colors, the shapes, the movement.
When your mind starts to drift, close your eyes. Take some more deep breaths.
Then open your eyes again. Savor once more whatever you notice. Let the world nourish you.
