EPISODE 719: WHAT HAPPENS AT THE TONYS...
...Is Way Better Than What Happens at the Oscars Even Though It's Just as Long
POP CULTURE SPIRIT WOW
I just finished watching the Tonys—which were great; the Oscars could learn so much—and I have to get up early to catch a train back into New York City from New Jersey, and I thought, hey, maybe it's time for another Ten Great Tweets and Images, followed by the things they make me think of.
Beanie, Baby

Lea Michele came out to sing a number with her Spring Awakenings castmates, and all I could think was, “How do you like me now, Funny Girl?”
In Re: Catholic Twitter
On Monday I made the mistake of interacting with someone who kept retweeting himself telling me that "the gays are coming for your children.” Yes, it was a bad choice on my part, which I realized after I was soon contending with a whole bunch of like minders debating whether Sodom and Gomorrah actually happened, when really all I should have done is posted this tweet.
A Bug's Life is a Monstrous Lie

If you didn't catch the Oscars, you need to go back and find this moment. It was wonderful.
And speaking of great male friendships…
Life Is Sometimes the Worst

At first, all I could think was, how did the elephant know where the funeral was?
But then I realized the elephant is reality, and it all made sense.
It's Morbin' Time…Again
My love for the Morbimob only grows. It even inspired to me write one of my all-time favorite articles.
Puppy Zen is the Zen of Zens
You have to click on this to be able to see it. But you will not regret it.
Last Friday the website Outreach, which is an off shoot of America dedicated to LGBT Catholics, published an interview I did with Michael R. Jackson, the creator of the Broadway musical A Strange Loop, which won Best Musical and Best Book last night.
Our conversation is all about faith and forgiveness and sexuality, and I feel like he has a lot of wisdom to offer. I’d love it if you’d take a look and pass it on.
Have a great week!
