“Life without Amazon” is not as difficult as some people think. For many years now I’ve avoided buying anything other than ebooks from them. My approach is this: if it’s a physical object that has to be picked, packed, and shipped, I don’t buy it from Amazon. I will only make an exception if it’s something I need that can’t be sourced from elsewhere, and so far I’ve only had to do that a couple of times. Anything I can do to help prevent Bezos from increasing his obscenely massive fortune is a good thing.
We don't have to - because you did it for us!!! You actually entangled your life from Amazon, which I liken to trying to diminish the use of single use plastic. Even though Amazon is infinitely younger than I am - it was feeling like I HAD to be in that eco-system. I'm taking the dive. Just one more of the infinite benefits of Pop Culture Spirit Wow. Ditching Amazon has been hard for us, as we live in a (very) rural area with little shopping, but I too have been surprised and delighted by Etsy.
Also, I just knew that was a real wedding: you could see it in their faces. So much love in 15 minutes!
